Departing Through Kuala Lumpur International Airport
Leaving Kuala Lumpur through KLIA is quite easy. Consult the big screens to find your check-in row in the humongous departure hall. Note that if you're flying Air Asia, all of their flights leave from the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal.
There is no departure tax.
After check-in, you can browse some of the many shops and cafes in the terminal building, then take escalators at the back of the departure hall down to proceed through immigration for your international flight, or directly to your gate for a domestic flight. You will need to show your ticket to the guards at the top of the escalators to be allowed access.
After immigration, you pass through a security screening, and then take the shuttle train to the remote concourse, for international flights. Domestic flights leave from the concourse attached to the main terminal.
You will need to pass through another security screening to access your gate.
