The small provincial airport at Udorn Thani is relatively new. Although "Udorn" itself doesn't have much to attract tourists or businessmen, it is the closest airport to the Lao boarder and the Friendship Bridge connecting Thailand to the Lao capital Vientiane.
The terminal building is on two levels. Check-in and baggage claim are side-by-side on the first floor; departures are on the second.
