Shopping and Eating at Changi International Airport Budget Terminal in Singapore
Note: The Budget Terminal is scheduled to close on 25 September 2012. Airlines using the terminal will be moved to Terminal 2 while a new Budget Terminal is built, expected to be completed in 2017.
The budget terminal isn't quite the shopping and dinng paradise that the main terminal is, but there are certainly enough distractions to keep you occupied for an hour or two while waiting for your flight.
The arrivals hall public area has a snack bar as well as some vending machines.
The public area of the departure hall has a MacDonalds and a snack bar for food, as well as a news stand. Once you pass through immigration, there's a much larger selection of shopping and eating options. The food options include a bar, Secret Recipe, O'Briens Sandwiches, Kopi Tiam and some other options. Aside from the duty free shop, there are several general merchandise shops as well as a large and well stocked 7-11.
The duty free shopping at the budget terminal isn't quite as extensive as at the main terminal, but it covers all the basics, at prices more or less the same as at the main terminal.
