Singapore Airport Departures Via Budget Terminal

Note: The Budget Terminal is scheduled to close on 25 September 2012. Airlines using the terminal will be moved to Terminal 2 while a new Budget Terminal is built, expected to be completed in 2017.

With just a single long row of check-in counters, it's not difficult to find the right one. The entrance to the departure hall is to your left as you face check-in counters. To reach the departure lounge, you must first pass through immigration and security.

While it doesn't have all the amenities of the main terminals, the budget terminal departure lounge does have all the basic requirements, such as food and duty free shopping.

Note: One of the cost-saving features of the budget terminal is that there's no seating area at the gate, just a rope queue. There's no point to go to the gate until about 30 minutes before the departure time. You can hang out in the departure hall until then.
