Security at Chiang Rai Airport
Note: International liquids, aerosols and gels (LAG) rule applies to this airport.
You and your bags must pass through a scanner to get into the airport building. This is a cursory screening. There is no need to remove laptops or your "LAG bag" from carry-ons, and you can keep your belt and shoes on.
There is a second screening to go through to gain access to the departure lounges. You may be asked to remove your laptop and LAG bag from your carry-on, but you can usually keep your belt and shoes on.
Note that some airlines require you to show your boarding pass and passport for screening immediately after going through the security checkpoint.
