Security at Kuching International Airport

Security at Kuching is fairly standard and not too obtrusive. Departing passengers will face the following security issues:

• All passengers go through a security screening to access the check-in counters. Your checked bags must be scanned but there is no personal screening.
• You must go through a second security screening to gain access to the departure lounge. Liquid, aerosol and gel rules apply for this airport. Laptops do not need to be removed from your carry-on bag. You do not need to remove your shoes but it is a good idea to take off your belt.
