Kuching Airport Arrivals

Larger planes will park on the tarmac in front of the terminal, which has several sky-bridges. Smaller planes, such as the ATR 72 will park a short walk away from the main building. Although they may park at a bay where there's a sky-bridge, low cost carriers may not use them. Instead you will have to use stairways to enter the terminal building.

Passengers enter the terminal on the same level as departing passengers. Follow the signs to baggage claim. However, note that if you're arriving from outside of Sarawak, you need to go through immigration before proceeding down to baggage claim. That's right, flights from other states in Malaysia are considered 'international' arrivals.

Immigration is on the same level as the gates. After passing through immigration, proceed downstairs to baggage claim. After getting your bags, you go through customs to get to the arrivals hall. The arrivals hall has a counter for booking a taxi, as well as some hotel kiosks and several food outlets.
