Phnom Penh Airport Overview

 
Phnom Penh's small Pochentong International Airport is only a eight kilometers from town. The airport code is PNH and the official web site is at Cambodia Airports.

The terminal building is a rather charming small structure. Although rather simple and utilitarian, it somehow avoids the bland gray could-be-anywhere decoration of many other modern airports. A rich palette of earth tones covers the walls, and there are many local decorative accents.

There is just a single two-story terminal building serving both domestic and international flights. Check-in for departing flights and baggage claim are side-by-side on the ground floor. The upper story is for the departure lounges.

The airport's close proximity to the city means that you can easily take advantage of a long lay-over to pop into town for a meal at one of its many great restaurants, shop in one of its everything-under-the-sun markets, or even take in a few of the sights of the city.
