Airport Transfers at Bangkok's Don Muang Airport
Even though Don Muang is only used for a limited number of flights, there are still a number of travel options available to get to and from the airport:
- Taxi
- Taxis from the airport can be obtained from the queue on the arrivals level. Simply walk directly out of the building from baggage claim and join the queue.
- City Terminal Free Shuttle
- For passengers using Thai Airways, they operate a "city terminal" at the Ladprao station of the Subway. Passengers can check-in for flights at the city terminal, and use a complimentary shuttle to the airport. Returning passengers need to show their boarding pass to qualify for the free ride back to the terminal, so be sure to keep it with you. The service operates from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.
- Transfer to Suvarnabhumi
- If you need to get from Don Muang to Suvarnabhumi Airport, or vice-versa, look for public bus Route 554. This bus goes directly between the two airports. The one-way fare is 35 Baht (1.00 USD). Note that at Suvarnabhumi the bus departs and arrives at the Public Transportation Center on the outskirts of the airport. You need to use a free shuttle bus to get to and from the main terminal.
