Ho Chi Minh City Airport Security
Security at Tan Son Nhat International Airport is relatively straightforward. At last check, liquid, aerosol and gel rules did not apply. It is usually unnecessary to remove anything from your bag, or your body. Departing international passengers will face the following security procedures:
- Only ticketed passengers are allowed into the terminal. Have your passport and ticket available for the guard when you arrive at the airport, although they don't always check.
- After check-in, your carry-on bags will be scanned by customs before you reach passport control.
- A final scan is required just after you pass through immigration. There is no security check at the gate.
- Keep your passport handy to show when boarding the plane.
