Arriving at Samui Airport

Landing at Samui's airport can be a very pleasant affair, and a nice introduction to your tropical island holiday. Your plane will park some distance away from the terminal, but don't worry, an open trolley will bring you to the open-air terminal buildings. Those on international flights will need to go through passport control before getting to baggage claim.

The baggage claim area is rather small, making it easy to find your bags. Getting out of the airport can be a tiny bit confusing. The exit from the baggage claim area is clearly marked, and will lead you to a large meeting area. However, only certain hotels and the airport's own transfer service can meet people at this lobby. If you're being met by a friend, a smaller hotel, or taking a taxi, you need to keep walking to the second meeting area.
