Departing Through Penang International Airport

Check-in for all flights is on the second floor of the terminal, in a common area. Check the screens near the entrances to find the counters for your flight. You will need to scan your checked bags to access the check-in area.

There is no departure tax.

After check-in, you can proceed to the departure hall. Access to both the domestic and international gates are next to each other at the far end of the terminal. You will need to show your ticket to the guards at the doors to be allowed access. International passengers will go through immigration at this point. All passengers go through a second security screening before gaining access to the departure lounge.
